Common questions

How fast can you quote a shipment?

Within one working day for standard air and sea freight. Project cargo and charters may take slightly longer while we confirm equipment and carrier availability.

Do you handle customs clearance in Malaysia?

Yes — our licensed customs agents prepare K1 (import) and K2 (export) declarations in-house, including HS code classification, duty and SST advice, and permit applications where required.

What's the difference between FCL and LCL?

FCL (Full Container Load) means your cargo has a container to itself — faster and better for volumes above roughly 13–15 CBM. LCL (Less than Container Load) shares container space with other shippers, which costs less for small consignments but adds consolidation time at each end. We'll recommend whichever works out cheaper for your volume.

Can you pack and fumigate export cargo?

Yes. We do export crating, palletising and lashing, and provide ISPM-15 certified fumigation for wood packaging — required by most destination countries to clear quarantine.

How do I check my shipment's status?

Your coordinator sends milestone updates directly — booking confirmed, departed, arrived, cleared, delivered. You can also call or email anytime with your air waybill, bill of lading or WCN reference number for an immediate status check.

Do you arrange cargo insurance?

We can arrange marine cargo insurance on request, typically quoted as a small percentage of cargo value. Tell us when you request your quote and we'll include it.

Where is World Cargo Network based?

Our office is at No. 55, Jln TK 5/39, Taman Perindustrian Kinrara, 47100 Puchong, Selangor. We operate cargo through Port Klang (Westports and Northport) for sea freight and KLIA for air freight, and cover the whole of Peninsular Malaysia for pickup and delivery.
